I Love Fonts!

As a designer, many times the things that excite us may be very foreign to most. One of the many things that makes me all warm inside, are FONTS! There are millions of fonts out there, they never let you down, you can always fall back on them, and they never mind when you use them and abuse them. And yes, there are many out there that do abuse them and it is a sad thing. When someone decides that Comic Sans is OK to use...or Impact is such a powerful font that helps you scream your message out loud! Yes, at times the very site of a font being used the wrong way makes me very sad.

But when a font or font family is used correctly, it makes my heart sing. The proper use of a font in a design composition can really make or break your design. And trust me when I say...LESS IS MORE! Please don't use more than 2 or 3 font faces in one design piece if you can. I know it is tempting but it will do you no good...trust me! 

Fonts have feelings too, so please respect the use of them always! :) 

Sick, Crazy Movie You Gotta See!

These days, most of our American cinema is over-populated by movies that are honestly, hard to watch. I've had more luck being entertained by Asian cinema these days - Korean movies in particular. Movies like Man from Nowhere, Suspect, Kundo, No Tears for the Dead. These movies still get my blood boiling, and usually has a very compelling plot/story behind all the awesome action. Then a movie come's along that instills a sense of rebirth in American cinema, in the action thriller genre that is. When I saw this movie it made me happy :) 

Not only was the action amazing, fast-paced and very cleverly choreographed - the nemesis was strong and the story was very entertaining. It truly hit a chord with me, and I can't wait for the sequel. Kingsman The Secret Service is a great movie, very unique style, and take's risks that were very welcome and just worked! I highly recommend this movie to one and all. Race out and check it out...and if you have a moment a lot of the Korean movies I mentioned are on Netflix...you won't be disappointed. 

Welcome to the Site!

After so many years of being too busy...and too picky I finally got my online portfolio up and LIVE! Please go through everything, I will try to keep updating my blog, but time is the big issue here of course. There is never enough time to get all my projects rolling, spend quality time with the family....and the dog, and actually spend maybe a few seconds to myself on my iPad — possibly playing a few minutes of Candy Crush Soda or Jelly Splash. 

Of course if you are in need of any help in the world of advertising, marketing and the good ol' internet, please feel free to drop me a line. I am always available for new projects - large and small...just don't bug me if you need help moving or if you need an organ—cuz I'm sure my organs are all shot! :) Peace!
